The outdoor environment can reduce issues with impulsivity, improve your focus and attention, and improve or develop problem-solving skills and increase motivation. This is particularly helpful in learning how to control issues around anger and violence.
In sensory rich environments, shared experience increases the pace of a therapeutic relationship and offers concrete feedback from our senses giving respite from negative and inhibiting affects and opening the perception of multiple possibilities for growth.
