FEES & PAYMENT

Counselling Services

1 hour: $120.00 + HST

1.5 hours: $175.00 + HST

Payment can be made by credit card, cash, e-transfer or paypal, at your appointment or before. In the case of remote counseling, session fees must be received a minimum of 4 hours in advance of the session time. Receipts will be issued for filing insurance claims and/or for income tax purposes.

APPOINTMENT TIMES

Appointment times are reserved for you. Appointments missed or cancelled with less than full 24 hours notice will be billed to you at the full rate of the scheduled services. The late cancellation/missed appointment fee may be waived at my discretion in the event of emergencies, serious or highly contagious illness, or inclement weather causing hazardous road conditions.

HEALTH PLAN (EAP)

In Nova Scotia, about 60,000 employees and their dependents have access to sessions with a counselling therapist under their workplace benefit plan. All major national insurers recognize RCTs. Many employers’, organizations’, and unions’ benefit plans include private practice RCTs as approved practitioners. 16,000 First Nation band members can access sessions with a counselling therapist under the First Nations and Inuit Health Benefit. If you have a health plan (EAP) please ensure you contact your private insurance provider directly to determine what your plan covers and the inclusion of services by a Registered Counseling Therapist (RCT) . You can access my services through First Nations and Inuit Health Benefits, Workman’s Compensation Board, Morneau Shepell Lifeworks, Medavie Blue Cross, Greenshields, Sunlife (Lumino) and Compsych. To access services, check with your provider as pre-approval may be necessary prior to starting sessions.

Fees for Music Therapy, Group Therapy, Supervision and Projects/Facilitation , or additional reports – will be quoted upon inquiry.
